Before joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Lavan was a managing director and senior portfolio manager responsible for U.S. governments, mortgages, and asset-backed securities at Citigroup Asset Management. Previously, Mr. Lavan served as an investment policy committee member at Salomon Brothers Asset Management and as a research analyst for institutional investment grade fixed income for Salomon Brothers Inc. Mr. Lavan earned a B.S. in management from State University of New York at Geneseo and an M.B.A from Fordham University. He is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) charterholder.
